Best language/framework for creating a reusable html component/plugin

I have a requirement for making some html components which will be downloaded(or copy code) from our website and reused in third party websites or web pages. These components will fetch data using API calls and display results of that call (mainly picture and text)in elegant format. What is the best framework for developing such modules.
