Turn Apache Wicket Web app to mobile app with Cordova

I am a newbie in java development, and I am interested in learning Apache Wicket Framework, for the front end of web applications.

I have a question regarding this framework.

Since, Wicket uses jquery, is it possible to create a web site and then turn it into a mobile app with phonegap or some other similar tool?

Logically, the views that the framework renders are send to the client and the views consist of jquery.
