Hi i'm studying JavaScript and Web development by myself. Luckily, one senior developer suggested me to be my mentor. I believe that he has a lot of knowledge of JavaScript and web development. The point is that he recommends me to read old Books like which is written in 2006, 2012. I really feel good and appreciate his tutoring but I saw a lot of articles that says not to study old things especially in studying web developing.
Is it okay to read and study old books?
Books are about JavaScript and SQL. Because i don't have much knowledge in this field, i just want to listen to other senior developers. Thank you for reading and i appreciate any advice or blame or just reply .. just anything :)
