Easy data storage for non technical user

This is hard to explain and probably most of you will think that what I'm asking makes no sense at all, but here it goes:

I'm updating some friend's business website. The current website is a Wordpress hosted on IONOS. You know, something that some years ago was created by another friend that did know something about computers and said "well if you want to change the website you click here and there and you update your images like this and you create new pages like that". But my friend is not precisely and expert on computers so the original webpage has ended beeing a ball of mud that ended not being updated. So my idea was to create a webapp using react and simplify as much the upload of new content (only the rates of the business and a gallery of images would be updated), really simple things. Which do you think would be a nice approach to this "readonly data storage"? Something as simple as would be to upload images to a folder in google drive, and the rates document into another folder. Also wanted to know if someone has used the own IONOS hosting to have a data storage that in this case could be exploited.
