I've a ecommerce website of a client where in which I've to place marketing pixels. However, the data layers are persistent b/w pages. Example as below.
Home Page DataLayers
- {page:"https://www.xxxx.com",pagetype:"home", event:"home_page_loads"}
Category Page DataLayers
- {page:"https://www.xxxx.com",pagetype:"home", event:"home_page_loads"}
- {page:"https://ift.tt/30OzjUm", event:"category_page_loads"}
The issue is I've tried to place the pixels based on the URL, however the new page url is also not detected by Javascript unless a hard refresh happens.
I wanted to understand the following:
- Why does this happen: Is there some technology with which the website is built which makes this happen?
- How would I be able to identify the pages without refresh since the pixels contains Javascript and it's not able to identify it?
