Why do some webpage use forceRefresh when move to different pages? [closed]

I wonder why some webpage like DropBox and Jira use forceRefresh when user move major page to major page instead of using SPA?

For example, Home to Pages in dropbox.

Is that for resetting states? Or any other reasons? It seems like they can use all SPA instead of using forceRefresh.
