How to change firebase phone auth for web?

I did a system to be logged in by firebase phone auth. I'm trying to make function to change phone number to the same user database data.

My possible solution: make a function that login with new phone number. If successed, change all old user database data to the new one.

This will work but is thier any other ways to do that better than my solution?
