seeking criminal / legal API to determine whether charges are infractions, misdemeanors, etc

Not sure if stack overflow is really the right place to ask this, but I'm having trouble w/ my google fu.

Anyone know an API that is capable of taking in a charge and jurisdiction and returning whether it's an infraction, misdemeanor A B C, felony, etc?
