CMT112 Web Application Development

My script has encountered the following problem on this line of code:

var queryString = encodeParameters(parameters);

It is claiming that 'encodeParameters' is not defined: "Uncaught ReferenceError: encodeParameters is not defined".

What could be the issue here?
