How to send Tempus Dominus date via post?

I've seen a lot of questions asking about filling the Tempus' input field with a default pre-loaded value, but none about getting the value from the input.

You guys can check all the examples and Fiddle links in the web about Tempus Dominus and you will notice that it doesn't set de input's value attribute when the date is selected (even though it's shown in the input). So when I submit a form, the field is blank.

Is there a way to send the date via post?
