What can be unique topics for developing a web application?

I am a student of MCA. As a part of my academic curriculum, I need suggestion for unique topics in order to create web application. I am planning to use Node JS for backend although I can use JSP, PHP or ASP.NET as well. Please suggest me few unique topics for it.
