any alternative of createElementNS(w3.org/**,line) I want to draw custom svg line to connect two divs

hey I have found code in which there was doc.createElementNS to create svg line..I wanted to know that how can I use already created svg to be used as alternative to this method. I mean I have created svg in illustrator and want to use as createelementNS() actually I am dragging and dropping the svg line to connect two divs
