Can Electron apps integrate java code?

As node.js still lacks importent functionallity which exists in Java, I whould like to use Java instead of node, and yet create the client using web laguage (html, js, css..). Electron is cross platform and so does java so it's seems fit to have a solution getting the best of both worlds.

Does someone know of a way to integrate electron with java? have an idea how to do it, or have a different solution to the problem?
