PLEASE HELP....I am doing the front end of a website and every time I export the logo as a PNG

......from either Adobe CS6 or CorelDraw 18 it is transparent on preview.....but once I place/import it onto the web page it has a white background! I have been doing the same procedure for years and find myself completed stumped!
