I'm trying to set up an iOS Smart App Banner for a Website. With this HTML inside the <head> of the website
<meta name="apple-itunes-app" content="app-id=myAppStoreID, app-argument=myURL">
I am testing this on a staging system, hidden behind an htaccess. I can't and won't deploy this on the production system until it's not sure that this is working properly.
I have 3 Testing Devices, on all of them the Cookies are cleared and the App is not installed, but the banner does not show up. It did not even showed up once on these devices.
Could the statging System be the reason for that? Or is there any other ways then deleting the cookies to make sure the Banner appears?
