You Don't Know JS for beginners

I am currently learning web development. I have already finished learning HTML and CSS and now i am starting with JavaScript. I have heard and read from various posts that the You Don't Know JS series is a must read. I wonder if it is advisable for a beginner like me to start reading them or should i look for other books for beginners? Thanks!
