Custom system administration web application

Is there a framework out there that would allow me to build a custom web application that will manage the different systems/assets owned by my team?

I have seen a lot of PHP dashboards out there, but they are all to report on data. I'd like to have a web application that lists my systems and allows me to run some commands against them such as opening its admin console, or checking the status of the http server, etc. I need this central space to quickly manage my systems.

Anybody have any thoughts on what is out there that could help me accomplish this?
