First post here! A little background on me, I have been working in big data for nearly two years now and work mainly with SQL (we use postgresSQL DB) and occasionally R but mainly DB connections in excel for analysis. I have degrees in math and physics and have decided I want to move into programming because I highly enjoy working with code in my job. Now onto the question:
At the risk of showing just how little I know, I have a question about turning my code into an actual good looking site/app.
I am learning python right now and starting to feel more and more comfortable with it. I chose python after reading it was a good language to start with. I do practice programs all the time and when I make them and they run correctly I really enjoy it and think it's cool. Where I am having issues right now is the sense of being overwhelmed when thinking about how do you take this code that is just a program running from in my case Visual Studio, and turn it into a webpage or embed it into a webpage. Can you even use python for that? I'm feeling really fatigued by all the stuff I read when it comes to creating a site/app and I start seeing all these things I have no idea about and then I look at my program and its just some code in VS that runs from a black box.
My plan is to create a project website about homebrewing and embed some calculators in the website for people to use. Am I wasting my time with python, should I be learning something else?
Please help!!
