Web Caching (which caching software intelligently redirects to other caching server)

My question is little complicated(at least for me :))

In a system of two or more caching severs, if i request something and they don't have it in cache then usually they will send miss request to all the caching servers and parent server that they don't have it and eventually will cache the content for next time.

Question is ?

Is there any web caching software that has a table or something like hash function having website name and cache server id so that when my request hits any of the caching server, they will redirect it to the appropriate caching server that has the content, user is looking for and if they don't then they don't broadcast the miss.
