Not sure where to go in learning web development

So i've pretty much got the basics down, html/css, javascript/jquery, ajax, php/mysql. Should I just keep getting better at these? I've built my own portfolio site and I'd really like to get a job doing this but I just feel I am not really qualified. And it seems like all the jobs want experience. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.
