How to develop a script to deal with flash videos?

I am trying to develop a script that will do the following: - Prompt the user for a part number - Open the following webpage (http://ift.tt/1JLwO3C) - Automatically open the first link listed for the Part number - Maximize the video - Start playing

I know that this is a rather simple thing to do without a script, but I would like to create this script my grandparents. They are 80 years old, and love their soap operas but don't know how to use a computer. I've taught them a few basics so they would be able to handle starting a program, responding to a GUI or command-line prompt for a number, and then closing the webpage. I would like them to be able to watch their shows even when I am not around to help set it up.

I have no idea what language to develop this in. I know intermediate c++ but I don't know if that's the best choice for this task. I think I can handle opening the web page, and searching for the part number but I'm not too sure how I'd be able to handle the video (click to start and maximize screen) once it's opens in flash player. If someone could please recommend a language or libraries I should research, I'll do that and give development a go and post back if I run into issues.
