How to view Google's source code?

I have been trying to analyze the source code of google's homepage and also results page. When I use Firebug to inspect element, I can easily see the source code, but, when I try to view it by right clicking on the site and clicking on "View page source" all I Find is unstructured Javascript,HTML and CSS mixed together.

I want to know why this is happening, what sort of technology google is using to hide their source code, and how to bypass it(if possible).
