Hosting API on flask vs NodeJS

I am developing a REST API for an analytics system. The main application is hosted on NodeJS. Considering the already huge load on Node server, would it be better to build the new API on flask for better performance or stick to Node? I am still a beginner. Any inputs would be appreciated.
