Using xampp as local host server permanently

My company was using a desktop VB application which was very old and not fulfilling new requirements.
I developed a web application in xampp (PHP and MySQL) for my office and shared it to our clients/users through local area network.
Application is working perfectly and fulfilling our company requirements and no www and web hosting is required to us.
Has xampp no issue in any aspect to be used as desktop application? as it was made for web?
