Collaborative sharing links or snippets

I don't know if it's the best place for this question but like we're working generally in same conditions, I suppose it will interesting many people.

I'm working in a software company and we searching a good alternative to save and share links, quick documentation or snippets for the dev team. Previously, we're used Confluence for that but the soft is too heavy, tree architecture and slow searching discourage people to create new pages or searching documentation. Finally, Slack seems be better to share links/code extract but it's not its purpose. So we want something lighter and simple to replace Confluence.

Personnally, I'm using Shaarli which is an excellent light bookmarking software but it's essentially to share a link with a note. But I like the system of searching, of tagging and the plain architecture. It's simple, quick and we can share a link in 1 minute. Additionnally, a colleague has proposed something like StackOverFlow, a question follow by answer where we can share links or code examples. But I don't know if other alternative for this kind of need exists and what they are.

view Large Las Point cloud in the web

we have large las files represent point cloud we need to view them in our website.

we use potree for that but when the point cloud larger we can not upload converted files .bin or .laz

we deal with large las point cloud between 8G and 100G

if we convert this to potree we will get 68000 files

which cause fail when upload them to shared host in zip file and then extract them in the host

so anyone have any idea about web viewers can deal with large files

note:

I tried http://plas.io and it become very slow with point cloud 1G . . .

Sharing of information between back end and front end developers

This question is not related to code or any bug. I have an organisation related query. I am a front end developer. I consume web API's developed by the back end developers in my company. The problem here is, they share it via postman. API's are segregated project wise in folders. Problem is, the nomenclature of the API as well as the functionality differs. This creates lot of confusion for me while consuming API's. secondly, There is no indication that whether the API is deployed on a server or not. So sometimes, I end up writing the code and realize that the specific API is not deployed yet.

My question is, how does the world do it? How is the communication between developers established with this specific domain? How can one overcome this problem?

Filtering a List by a Text Field

I have a created a small app that helps me be more productive at work. It filters a list of tags by their text contents. It currently works great for finding contiguous lines of text, but I would prefer to re-implement it as a filter that works for non-contiguous combinations of text.

For example, if the string inside the tag is "Appleville, MN", the current filter will find it if you type in "Apple" or "Appleville" or "App", but I want to be able to filter successfully with input such as "App MN".

Could anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not sure what exact algorithm I need to go with. Thanks!

PS: I've included some code below with examples of the kind of search items I am filtering, the current filter function, as well as the search field.

<ul id="itemList">
      <li onclick=applevilleMN()><a href="#" >Appleville, MN</a></li>
      <li onclick=orangevilleOR()><a href="#" >Orangeville, OR</a></li>
      <li onclick=kiwivilleCA()><a href="#" >Kiwiville, CA</a></li>
      <li onclick=bananavilleCA()><a href="#" >Bananaville, CA</a></li>
</ul>
function filterList() {
    var input, filter, ul, li, a, i, txtValue;
    input = document.getElementById('myInput');
    filter = input.value.toUpperCase();
    ul = document.getElementById("itemList");
    li = ul.getElementsByTagName('li');

    for (i = 0; i < li.length; i++) {
      a = li[i].getElementsByTagName("a")[0];
      txtValue = a.textContent || a.innerText;
      if (txtValue.toUpperCase().indexOf(filter) > -1) {
        li[i].style.display = "";
      } else {
        li[i].style.display = "none";
      }
    }
  }
<input type="text" id="myInput" onkeyup="filterList()" placeholder="Search list.." >

Vainilla Python for web development?

I'm about to start a project, I want to do this in Python, I'll been working with PHP an Js for a while so I want to change and learn new language/framework. I know a little of Python and I started to learn Django, but I want to know if there is a way to build a simple program in vainilla Python to fully understand the concepts and how Python work for web development. Like when you work in PHP that you usually develop a program in MVC and after that you use a framework.

I need to get information if this distance is 12mil, up to 100mil or above.

How can I get data from HTML table?

Hey, everybody. I want to write a little app on Swift. And the question arose, how to take the data from the HTML table? The situation is as follows: there is a page on which, among other things, there is an ordinary html table ....

I need to get the data from it. There is a code that receives all the html content in a string, but for some reason this string cannot be written anywhere.

func getHTMLContent() {
       let meteoURL = URL(string: "URL adress")
        let URLTask = URLSession.shared.dataTask(with: meteoURL! as URL) {
            data, response, error in

            guard error == nil else {
                self.connectError()
                return
            }

            let meteoHTMLData = String(data: meteoData!, encoding: String.Encoding.utf8)!
        }
        URLTask.resume()
    }

HTML content is written to the string meteoHTMLData, but it is not possible to write data from this constant to any external one, there are no errors, data are simply not written to variables.

How to act in such a situation?
