Is there a way to make google sheets as a database for new Google Sites?

I am trying to make a google sites page for my photography portfolio. The functionalities that I require are:

• Fetching the images from a folder in google drive, and showing them dynamically on the webpage, instead of me configuring each and every image in google sites.
• Adding a like feature to each image (image id will become the primary key and I can store like count in another column of google sheets.)

My question is, what can I do to achieve this functionality.
