How do I put up my HTML on the net for free

I am even sure if this a good place to ask but how do I create my own website using HTML. As you can tell, I am uneducated about this. I am a high school student and I was taught HTML in I guess 7th grade. I don't know a thing about websites. I am planning to go to engineering college after 2 years and I need a base for my application because admissions are tough in my part of the world and I need a supporting factor to get into a reputed college. I am working on a couple of things rn, and I can I want to put them up on an HTML/CSS based website that I can run without a 3rd party like form my home. This is because I can't afford web hosting and buying a domain name because my family is facing the brunt of the pandemic and I would like , if you know, my crappily designed page could be put up for free too It would look good for my application too. If you guys could help like give me directions or suggest some books on this, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks for sticking through my ramble.
