Can I make a MySql database and user registration possible without using any PHP, but any other programming language? [duplicate]

I am just getting into making websites and now for my first project I made a user registration form and now I should make a MySql database(to store user data), but everywhere I look up tutorials and etc. there is always PHP included.

I was wondering if it is possible to make it, but without using PHP, but any other language? Reasons being is that PHP seems kind of a messy language and I come from a little C# background where I made a few desktop apps and am not used to it really.

I am sorry if the question is too basic, but I did a little research and there are no such exact questions asked or answered anywhere I could find.
