Execute console application from web portal

I have a console application. When i enter a command that will talk to a device and get the device status(e.g on or off). This works fine.

Now instead of console app, i want to create a web page or web portal, that should have some button and when i tap the button, it should send the command in background and show me the status in the web page/portal.

I tried searching but i didn't get any idea. Any thought like how to implement this? OR any free web portal software that i can download and implement the portal which supports console/command line in background?
