Two placeholder images on Both sides of the screen

The webpage should have a title and some dummy content. As we scroll down the page, "we should have two placeholder images come scrolling from both sides of the screen. The position of the images should be controlled by the scroll.

The text also should fade out as we scroll further."

Can someone please explain the line written in inverted comma?? What is the meaning of images with both side of screen???
