Is it possible to have to many viewport breakpoints?

I'm adding some final touches to my portfolio webpage and a question arose while I was adjusting breakpoints. I have somewhat of a specific design (a div constiting of icons) and because of the shifting of the icons I had to add quite a few breakpoints so that the icons stay centered despite the screen width. My question is, is there such a thing as ,,too many'' breakpoints, or is the amount irrelevant if the breakpoints are needed for the design? Thank you in advance
