What are the cons of self-hosting a video conferencing tool like Jitsi? Does it have an effect on your bandwidth?

I’m thinking of integrating Jitsi in my School Management System web application. I’ve seen a lot of advantages using Jitsi for video conferencing and all. I just want to know the disadvantages. Does it take up so much bandwidth? I’m looking at five simultaneous meetings at least with about fifteen participants in each meeting
