How can I replace my MAMP development environment with Docker?

I have recently been exposed to the use of Docker and would now like to replace my development environment to build docker containers instead of using MAMP or valet.

Problem is that I don't want to have many different spun up containers consisting of webservers and php etc.

Is there a solution for Docker that will allow me to spin up new projects using Docker almost in the same fashion as I would valet or MAMP with a shared webserver
