Which platform to use to create a free website using finance plugins

I am creating a website as part of my studies. My initial plan was to use WordPress and use a Stock Ticker plugin however using certain plugins require a membership plan. I was wondering if there are any alternatives where I could use plugins for free since I do not plan to publish this website. Thank you.
