I've been building this page for a solo java practice project, and I've read all this stuff about servlets and sessions and whatever helps, but I'm still very confused about one thing.
In JS,with a button you can do anything...eg: change a color,calculate this,erase that,change position of this...and it happens instantly.
For Java with servlets and forms you can....redirect to another page with executed code in between? What I'm trying to ask here is,is there a way to change page elements without the whole servlet mumbo jumbo,or do I have to redirect servlets to the original page after every action? Do people usually combine servlets and Jscript? I had a .NET course a few years ago and It seemed a lot simpler, and I'm just wondering if I wandered off in an entirely wrong direction or is it just that different?
