history.go(-1) and history.back() not working in newer versions of Google Chrome

Above line of code is working properly in IE,Mozilla and Chrome (Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)). But its not working in Chrome (Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit))

After clicking on the link a blank page appears with below message:

This webpage requires data that you entered earlier in order to be properly displayed. You can send this data again, but by doing so you will repeat any action this page previously performed.

Will appreciate your help on this!. Please suggest.
