Zero Ranking in Google

This is a theoretical question, hope you will not mind but it's very very important to me.

I deployed my website about a month ago, google has indexed about 1000 pages so far but still I'm not getting any traffic, not even 2 clicks daily. When I check the indexed pages by doing site:example.com then it's showing lots of useless webpages which redirect users to the login page.

Among those 1000 indexed webpages about 100 are important & 900 are not that much worth viewing.

So, my question is in order to rank my website high in search results what matters most, number of webpages (1000) or number of quality webpages (100) ?

Will removing those 900 webpages (by noindex, nofollow or direct robots.txt) help my website rank high?
