Transition from Node.js to Go

I'm working on a requirement of transition of an application(with good traffic, performance, and security concerns) from Node.js to Go.

What are the key things that I should consider, analyze and plan before starting to work on the transition?

Please respond in terms of performance, security, performance, flexibility, and scalability.

Note - Transition is the requirement from the client so please don't ask why I want to do it.
