How do I start with jQuery? Groups, communities where to find them? [on hold]

I only know basics of html and little bit of CSS. There are to many sources on the web. I don't have any idea where to start. I've seen many tutorials but I need something simple and free. Ideally I'd like to work with within some community to develop my skills.
