What approach is better for Mobile app and API and database

I would like to start to develop a personal project using apps for IOS & Android , a web application,an API connected to Database. I researched a lot of this to understand the best approach of technologies, however I am blank . What do you recommend to develop apps connecting to api, likewise the web application connect to api, and all of them get the data from database?. Any recommendation of languages , approaches ?. Do you recommend MuleSoft to start this small project or other ? . I do not need a manual to specify step by step how can I do that , I just need a recommendation of how I can do that.
