are apps sorted by ranking (search api)?

I have a quick question which you can help me out with. At the link: http://ift.tt/1SjRDf1 There is the following example (json): http://ift.tt/2choBuG this json contains 50 elements which I assume are sorted by ranking, from the 1st to the 50th position. Is that correct? Do they match the position visible on iPhone? Thank you,
