Kiosk Application \ How to start?

So, i need to build a kiosk application , for a kiosk like the ones in McDonald's. It will need to print and interact with payment methods ( I guess i will do this with POS .NET).

My main question remains , on which kind of projects should i build my application based on and what makes more sense. I think a desktop application is out of the equation because it takes too much to maintain and hard to make visual appealing.

So , i guess the best way is to go for a browser based project, but i don't know what kind should i start on ( MVC? Web Forms? .net core? )
