Can I use React Native with Laravel API

Is it possible to build a web application using Laravel, and using the data from the web application in the react-native mobile application.

For example: If I wanted to create a todo app using laravel and I want to view and modify the data from my react-native app.

Is this possible?? and if yes, is it recommended??

If it isn't recommended, should I use node instead or any other technologies?
