How to build Angular 4 within webapp folder of Spring Config and UI Project

I have project 1 - (Spring MVC/Rest project) + project 2- (Spring Config and web UI different project where Angular 4 development folders reside). I am using maven but it is building and including up all NPM modules and inside project 2 - I can find workaround to exclude other folders and to include only "dist" folder created by "ng build" command, so that's not my question.

But what is the standard process or how to integrate j2ee War with angular or any UI framework project with maven ??

Also, is there a way to trigger ng build by maven while building war - (sure, there will be)
