hosting service for private page

Is there any web gurus here?

• I'm using Namecheap for my domain and hosting a website using github page. I'm trying to host some private pages and looking for a hosting service that I can redirect my subdomain to
• I will try to use .htaccess to keep pages private and only allow them to the users with credentials.
• Should I just pay for namecheap hosting service and keep github page for other publicly accessible pages?
• Does that even make sense to do so? I feel like I'm overcomplicating things to keep the github page as it is and add things around it.
