Which programming language (and frameworks) should i use to automatize online registration?

I would like to learn how to use some language and maybe frameworks to automatize online registration for sport event. (A program should be able to open a website, check for something, fill something, click on something...)

I googled a little bit and I found stuff like Everystep but it does not really fulfill my needs. I need to use conditions and I would like to run it from a server, so I wouldnt have to have my computer on.

I heard that Python could be quite good for the job. But what frameworks/libraries should I use? And do you know any howto videos or guides i could follow?

Also any other suggestions would also help.
