What's the difference of Web API `Battery_Status_API` and cordova-plugin-battery-status

Are they same?

Both of them call the device native method?

I'm confused with this. Are there any articles to explain Web API like:

<input type='date'> call native UI datepicker and cordova-plugin call native function.

what's the relationship of them?
