How to use c++ as backend language on web server?

I am making a web project I am using php as backend language but some of my technical parts of my project is written in c++ and I am not sure how to run c++ code on server as backend language like php,ruby etc. Can anybody have idea about it how can I compile it and run it on server? what should I need for this ?
