Get servers network status with Perl

I need some advice on a project for my intership.

I need to do a website wich display the list of the servers of the compagny and get information on their network status.

Exemple !

Exemple : i have 4 servers, @ for my web server, A, B, and C are random server of the compagny.

@ needs to check if :

A can reach B and C

B can reach A and C

C can reach A and B

my manager ask me to do it in Perl, but i'm new with programation in Perl and Web.

What could i use to do this network request ?
