We have an internal web tool that prevents a variety of useful graphs & charts. A lot of users will just screenshot them to include in emails & presentation.
Is there a way to detect if a user is taking screenshot & what on the screen was captured?
Having this data would help us understand what our users are finding useful, the value of new features, etc. We currently run period surveys to get this information, but surveys translate into annoying your users and have all the caveats of self-reported data.
We've talked about alternative methods (e.g., offering a "download this chart" feature), but a lot of them preferred just doing screenshots & I'd rather not ask them to change their existing workflows just so we can track things better.
